Quickie Review #2: LesDiy MOC-177905 Stork Building Block Set

Hey brick fans!

We are back with yet another waterfowl build from LesDiy!  In a previous blog post I reviewed the pair of Great Crested Grebes.  Now we will review the building of this cute looking stork!

I'd like to thank LesDIY for sending me this set to review! They are the largest supplier of third party Lego Compatible MOCs out there and they cooperate with all the designers which they feature on their website.   Let's check out the details of this set!

The box features the LesDIY logo and a picture of the constructed stork.  Hard to believe that this set is age rated at 16, as it is a very simple set to put together.

The single part bag is labelled as 3630681.

Mostly white, black and green coloured parts that make up the 144 pieces.

There are no printed instructions with this set.  The box contains a Card with a QR code which you scan. It will provide you with a link to the instructions which you can view and download.

Build the body first.  Oops, I found a defective piece. It's supposed to a bottom feather, but clearly it is missing a stud protrusion.  Luckily it's only a cosmetic part and has no other function.

Here's the head and neck.

For the last part of the build, we construct the stork legs and a small green space with some foliage.

And in a matter of about one hour, we are done!

So, let's have some fun and make a display for the stork.  I pulled out this vintage Lego baseplate that has a stream printed on it.  I added some fencing to make it look like some kind of bird sanctuary.  Then I made a long wooden platform and placed several minifigures on it.

Step right up and see the largest stork in captivity!

Final Thoughts

The stork was a super easy build, and surprisingly sturdy.  We had one defective part but it didn't really make a difference to the display.  I believe that you can reach out to LesDIY to get a replacement piece if you encounter any missing or defective parts.
