The JMBricklayer Money Tree 20008 Building Set Review

Thanks to  JMBricklayer.com who have kindly provided me with  an advance copy for the purposes of my review.   It's the 20008 Money Tree set which is exclusive to JMBricklayer as I have not seen another set quite like it.

According to the JMBricklayer website, the dimensions of the completed set are 58cm H × 38cm W × 45 cm. and it comes with approximately 1000 pieces.

The Money Tree set boasts an enchanting design with a white pot, a brown pot stand, intricately twisted trunks, and vibrant green branches and leaves.  

This new set is part of the JMBricklayer ever growing Home Decor/Botanicals theme.  I've had the pleasure of building the 9 piece succulent set and also the White Orchid set which are also part of the Botanicals theme.

There are four good sized bags of parts and an included easy to follow instruction booklet.  This is a set that both advanced and beginner builders can creatively enjoy on a quiet weekend.

We start the Money Tree set by building the traditional display stand, and the ceramic looking pot.  As a reminder all of the pieces are Lego compatible in form and colour.

 The twisted trunks are mature and robust, with a lifelike wood texture in various shades of brown.

The branches and leaves can be shaped to your hearts desire.

You can follow the instruction booklet and build the branches and leaves together as an entire unit.  Or you can attach the central stem and then add and shape each of the branches and leaves individually, it's entirely up to you how to build your Money Tree.

And you can't have a money tree without any money!  So included in the set are seven printed bills of an old American dollar which you can attach to the leaves of the money tree.   Personally, I think it would have been fun to have an assortment of banknotes from different countries.
