First Look at the New Lumibricks Cyberpunk Police Urban Convoy Set

Hey brick fans!

Cyberpunk-themed building block sets continue to grow in popularity, and Lumibricks is clearly paying attention to that trend with its upcoming Police Urban Convoy release. Featuring a futuristic armored vehicle, aggressive urban styling, detailed lighting elements, and a gritty neon-inspired atmosphere, this set immediately stands out from more traditional city-themed builds.

From the first promotional images alone, the Police Urban Convoy looks designed for collectors who enjoy highly detailed display pieces with a strong sci-fi aesthetic. In this review, I’ll take a closer look at the vehicle design, details, and features and whether this upcoming Lumibricks release deserves a place in your cyberpunk city collection.

A huge thanks to Lumibricks for providing the set for my review!

Before getting into the actual build, let’s take a quick look at the packaging and what comes inside the box. Like most cyberpunk-themed sets, presentation plays a big role here, and Lumibricks definitely leaned heavily into the futuristic aesthetic.

The Unboxing

Here's the box featuring the Urban Convoy truck and the one included police minifigure depicted in a very dark and dystopian but neon lit backdrop.  The shape of the six wheeled truck looks rugged with it's black and white colour scheme.

Opening the box, we find some cool cyberpunk graphics on the inside lid, a good assortment of parts bags, the instruction manual and service card and two orange pouches containing an led light kit.  If this is your first introduction to Lumibricks, you will learn that every set comes with a custom LED light kit as well as printed parts (no stickers, yay!).

The parts for the Urban Convoy truck are separated into several numbered bags labelled 1 through 4.  This numbering of parts bags corresponds to the steps in the included instruction booklet. As you can see the breakdown of bags for each step is as follows:

Step 1: 2 bags
Step 2: 3 bags
Step 3: 2 bags
Step 4: 2 bags

Additionally, there is an extra bag marked F that contains the minifigure parts and special bricks used to install the lighting kit.   Further the two orange pouches contain the actual lighting elements that will be integrated into the build.  The kit comes three light strings, two led panels, a 4 port hub, and  a battery pack that uses two? CR2032 batteries (not included).

The Build

With 465 pieces, the police truck is a small to mid sized set, reflected byonly four steps needed to build it.

Step 1 builds the chassis of the police truck and introduces some of the lighting elements.

Step 2 places the rear panels onto the rear of the truck as well as the attaching the working headlights to the front of the vehicle.

Step 3 encloses the front cab and the hood.  A special containment capsule is loaded into the rear of the truck.

Finally, it all comes together in step 4, with the doors and roof panels added.  Lots of neat printed bricks can be found on both sides of the police truck.  There are some cool looking translucent blue wheels mounted into those beefy tires.

The included minifigure comes with a helmet but no weapons.  He's got Police written on his outfit but he looks more like a robot than a human.  Not sure if he got into a bar fight the night before because his eyes looked seriously bruised.

The Features

Just like the Lumibricks Cyberpunk Bus, the Police Urban Convoy has two modes of travel, either by driving or taking to the air in hover mode.

What makes the Cyberpunk Police Convoy set unique from other Lego style vehicles is the lighting.  On this truck we have working headlights and flashing red and blue emergency lights on the roof.

At the back of the truck is a cool looking red led light bar.  Notice that on both sides of the truck the Police signage is nicely lit up.  So cool.

Inside you will find the light reflecting off the orange interior, giving it a nice neon glow.

The light amply lights up the entire trucks interior.

The cabin roof opens up, allowing the police minifigure to be placed inside.

There are doors that swing open on both sides.

Closing the roof, there is a turret gun that can swivel 360 degrees.

The set comes with this neat looking prisoner containment capsule, however you have to provide your own minifigure to put inside, because the set only comes with the one police minifigure.

Lift off the rear roof of the truck and fold open the back door to place the capsule into the truck bed.

Tilt the capsule down to secure the prisoner, close up the back door and reinstall the roof for transport.

Final thoughts

The new Lumibricks Police Convoy truck is a nice addition to the Cyberpunk series.  It features much of the same lighting as the police car, such as the flashing lights and the lighted Police side panels.  In terms of play value, there's a lot more you can do with it instead of just display it.  There's opening doors on the side and rear and removable panels on the roof, as well as a swivelling turret gun.  The prisoner capsule is a nice bonus, but there should have been an extra minifigure included.

I was a bit sad to see that the truck about the same size as the police car.  I was hoping for something a lot bigger and more intimidating.  In the above pic, what I wanted and what I got, lol.

Some people have lamented that the Police truck doesn't fit into the Police HQ, but it does, it's just that it's a tight squeeze.

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers!  The police truck still looks great and fits nicely into my Cyberpunk city!   To see it in action, feel free to check out my story time: https://itsnotlego.blogspot.com/2026/05/story-time-featuring-lumibricks.html
