FunWhole Cyberpunk Police Car Review
Hey brick fans!
This year, FunWhole recently introduced a new Cyberpunk theme of sets!
The Cyberpunk theme depicts a dystopian society filled with futuristic
elements and lots of neon lights. To that end, FunWhole has release two
new sets for the series: the 372 piece Police Patrol Car, set number F9043 and
the mega sized 2507 piece Cyberpunk Apartment Complex F9042. In this
blog post, I'll review the Police Car set and in my next blog post, I'll do a
deep dive into the Cyberpunk Apartments set.
FunWhole has been producing amazing Lego compatible building block sets for
the past two years or so. There are currently a plethora of compatible
brick brands all vying to become the next Lego, and FunWhole is clearly
leading all of the competition. Their building block sets are truly
creative, as well as detailed, and they differentiate themselves by
incorporating beautiful lighting features into every one of their sets.
Thanks to FunWhole for providing the Cyberpunk Police Car for today's
review.

Unboxing
All Funwhole sets come in sturdy boxes with decorative artwork. A cool
bonus is the featured futuristic graphics on the inside of the box.
Here's everything you get in the FunWhole cyberpunk police car set.
Parts bags consists of two bags each numbered 1, 2 and 3 each corresponding to
the steps found in the instructions.
The 96+ pages of the instruction booklet are well detailed yet thoughtfully
laid out, making the police car build easy to follow and enjoyable.
Here's a sample of the lighting instructions.
There are 99 steps that comprises the 3 sections of the build.
The Build
The Cyberpunk Police car is an easy build. The first step consists
of forming the chassis and incorporating some of the light features into
it, such as the headlights and the taillights.
Step two adds the body and canopy over the chassis .
Additional lighting features include working headlights, taillights and
flashing lights on the roof. Not to mention the lighted side
panels.
The free space in the rear of the vehicle can house the optional battery
box, which I've chosen not to use. Here you can see how the wiring for
the headlights, taillights, side panels and flashing roof lights are all
connected. The lighting circuits are as follows:
Circuit 1: Headlights and flashing roof lights
Circuit 2: Side panels connected in series
Circuit 3: Rear taillights
Lastly, the third step adds detailing to the police car such as bumpers,
wheels and rear hatch.
In addition to the police minifigure, there are two road barrier accessories
that come with the set.
Speaking of the policeman minifigure, here he is. Looks like he is
equipped with special augmented glasses and a microphone. He's
wearing a vest with police markings on it.
Here are some pictures of the completed Cyberpunk Police car!
The rear hatch can be removed to access the wiring if needed.
Final Thoughts
The Cyberpunk Police Car looks very futuristic and fits right into a dystopian
display! The size of the vehicle goes well with other Speed Champion
sized cars.
There were some things that I didn't like about the police car, namely the
protruding hubcaps which I will probably remove soon. And I wished
that the minifigure could be properly seated into the cabin, but he wobbles
inside around because of his round bum.
Other than those minor annoyances, I really loved the design of the low
profile muscle car stance of the police car. Fit and finish of the
bricks used was on par with Lego. And of course I loved the lighting effects,
such as the blinking roof lights and especially the unique light panels on the
side of the vehicle.
I also liked the FunWhole gives you different ways to power the lights, either
through the battery pack or through the USB plug. It's a pretty
decent set for around $40 USD considering you get printed parts and a special
light kit. I can't wait to park it in front of the Neon City Cyberpunk
Apartments!
Let me know what you think of the FunWhole Cyberpunk Police car! Thanks
for looking, bye!
